To create a dog ownership record, start by gathering your pup's basic info like name, breed, and birth date. You'll also need to note the microchip number and vaccination history, especially rabies shots. Add a couple of photos showing clear identifying marks. This record helps vets, shelters, and pet sitters know your dog quickly. Keep it updated annually and store it somewhere accessible, like on your phone or in a cloud folder.
